We are working with a top design and innovations company to find an experienced facilities manager to join their team at their office in south west London. This role covers facilities and office management, office wellbeing and culture, and also being front of house and welcoming clients as and when needed. The face of the company!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Wellness Initiatives across the business, always bringing new ideas to keep staff engaged and happy
  • Facilities management
  • Line management of Ops Coordinator
  • Support Bcorp process by managing the community and environment pillars
  • Improve the physical environment of the studio, looking at fresh ways to help them thrive in a hybrid working environment
  • Find new ways across the business to become more sustainable (from how they travel, use energy or dispose of their waste)
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are rigorously met
  • Handle communications with warm professionalism from answering the phone to distributing and posting mail or arranging couriers efficiently.
  • Plan events, from managing meeting room schedules and preparing rooms for clients to arranging fun company night outs that allow the teams to bond.
  • Ensure the studio presentation is immaculate, and the environment supports their clients and team by liaising with the cleaning company and organising and tidying the space ad hoc day-to-day as required. In addition, you will oversee the unlocking / locking up of the building.
  • Act as a super host, managing catering and refreshment supplies with a creative approach to go beyond the obvious.
  • Work within budgets ensuring cost-efficiency across all tasks
  • Manage and distribute telephone list, ensuring complete accuracy at all times
  • Reconcile courier and taxi costs on a monthly basis, raising POs for couriers/taxis and for all office supplies invoices.
  • Be a mentor and manage the workload of the Studio Coordinator
  • Manage the condition of the studio and arrange for necessary repairs and maintenance, while finding new ways to improve and make us more sustainable
  • Be the main contact in the studio for the maintenance of the building
  • Deal appropriately with emergencies or urgent issues as they arise
  • Liaise with the cleaning company and ensure all cleaning products are fully stocked
  • Coordinate and maintain relationships with all suppliers required to support the daily upkeep of the studios
  • Find cost-effective suppliers
  • First Aider and Chief Fire Warden
  • Implement and manage all fire and intruder procedures for the building

For this role it is essential to have experience in a similar creative type company – design, advertising, architecture etc
